Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then went to an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of all events.
