Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
